An effective alternative to Court
Parties are increasingly turning to Mediation and Arbitration, two forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution, to resolve their disputes. Both are as binding as a Court judgment but, unlike Court proceedings, they are confidential and flexible to meet the needs of the circumstances of an indivudual case.
Mediation is encouraged by the Courts and the Court Service is involved with the National Mediation Helpline. The Mediation Questions and Horror Stories pages in the Mediation section of this site show why Mediation in particular is an effective and cost-effective alternative to Court proceedings.
